Madonna is my first plush coated dog from
German Import lines. She has hard prey
drive that won't quit while she is being
worked, but when she comes in the house
she just lays around. She loves to entertain
herself with her stuffed toys, and plays games with my son. Madonna passed her Herding Instinct Test with flying colors at 6 months of age.
True Blue is dedicated to providing discriminating families and individuals with German Shepherd puppies and adults for the best in family companionship, service work and sport. Even though we selectively breed for dogs with intense working ability and strong instincts, our dogs are great family companions and do wonderfully with children. They are very loyal, intelligent and possess strong nerves to serve as stable family protectors or high end competition sport dogs. Our dogs are very laid back and easy to live with, yet ready to go and give 100% effort in anything you ask of them.
Our dogs are raised and maintained in our home with our children, NOT in a kennel situation. True Blue breeds West German Show/Shutzhund lines and DDR East German Working lines. These two breed genres are bred separately to keep each type pure, except for the rare occasion when we do a show/working cross from an exceptional pair of dogs. We do not breed over-sized, often called "old-fashioned", blues, whites, pandas, livers or any other non-recognized color or type. Our dogs are bred to the German standard and not any current fad. True Blue German Shepherds come in black and red, black and tan, bi-color, solid black, black sable and red sable.
Puppies bred by True Blue are out of parents who have breed-specific health clearances completed for hip displasia, hereditary eye defects and degenerative myelopathy. We are very proud of Helga's accomplishments. Had I been able to purchase this special dog as a puppy, she would probably be titled up the wazoo. Because of her neglectful history she will take a while to be able to compete in any trials. This girl is super smart with lots of drive and attitude. She has finally found her niche in sheep herding and has lots of natural talent. She loves PetEdge and the ladies there that give her liver cookies! Helga has amazing tracking ability and is VERY athlethic. She is dabbling in Agility and obedience, and has been used very successfully as a working service dog. Helga boasts Leerburg and Van Tiekerhook bloodlines in her pedigree and will be a huge asset to True Blue German Shepherds as a brood bitch.

This gorgeous long coated girl was purchased from Vom Staab kennels and is sired by a top rated VA1 titled German Import. Mercy has wonderful deep red color, sound structure and great movement. She has a sweet social personality, but lots of civil drive as well. She has rock solid nerves for a sport dog! She will more than likely excell in any K9 Sport we train her in.

True Blue My Lady's English Rose
Binah is our black and red plush coated girl from the Beau and Madonna cross. She has excellent rich red pigment and texture of coat. Binah is a nice mover with lots of presence. She has a sweet temperament and is starting socializing to become "neutral" with other dogs and ring training now that she is finally back with us. We will post better photos once she gets into better condition and has a little bit of focus training.
