MAHKOTA'S OSA CARMAROSA
This is Osa, our new Chihuahua girl. We purchased her from Helen Daughenbaugh of Mahkota Chihuahuas. She is an outstanding brood bitch, possessing type, character and soundness that she also produces in her babies! It was very important to me to get even a little Chihuahua with a desire to work like the big dogs. Osa retrieves, and loves to stuff walnuts in her mouth. With Helen's guidance, she will be used as a foundation for True Blue's breeding program. We were very fortunate to be able to aquire this little girl. She will be trained and trialed in Rally O and Obedience in the future. Osa is CHIC cleared Patella and Cardiac normal. Osa will be bred on her next heat.
About Our Chihuahuas
Yes, Chihuahuas are also part of the True Blue Gang. I have had Chihuahuas and German Shepherds since I was a young child. My very first Chihuahua, "Lefty" was from a backyard breeder and was my best friend for 13 years, along with my first German Shepherd. He had poor structure, a horrible temperament, severe epilepsy and on top of that was born without his left eye. Despite all of this he was the best dog a kid could ever have. He was very smart and learned to perform for me with hand signals.
True Blue will be starting a very small breeding program consisting of smooth and long coated Chihuahuas. We are still in the process of purchasing breed/show/quality foundation dogs to start with. Our primary breeding goal is to produce Chihuahuas that possess brains and athletisism as well. We are very fortunate to have aquired a show/breed quality girl with these traits. Any Chihuahuas we breed will be screened for genetic defects via CHIC, CERF and others. More information on these wonderful little dogs will be posted soon.
