Welcome to the Aussies page!  My goal is to preserve the true working ability and extreme intelligence of this wonderful breed.  The real intelligent Aussie with correct structure is a dying breed.  Unfortunately only a small handful of breeders are preserving the intelligence and drive that makes this breed so unique.  I only breed dogs who have passed all applicable health clearances, and who have also passed my criteria for soundness, type, and of course temperament and 'smarts'.  It is very important to me that the dogs I breed be easy to live with but still have high drive and intelligence for working, as well as type and beauty for the show ring.   My dogs are very smart and easy to train, but they do need a job, and are not the dog for everyone.  If you are interested in having an Aussie join your family, I require that you do research the breed, ask questions and visit as many Aussies as you can before deciding if the Aussie is a good fit for your family.  Some of the traits that make a good working dog are not suitable for all famlly households.  Some Aussies can be too smart for most families, especially if they are allowed to become bored.  My dogs are socialized and not aggressive but are not outwardly friendly to strangers initially.  After that  first meeting however, be prepared to have them in your lap.  The breed in general is supposed to be aloof with strangers but very loyal to family.   Aussies are very adaptable and can be managed to fit into the right family if they are willing to facilitate the dogs individual needs.

Baja Winds Just Dance To Destiny

Words cannot describe how I feel about this special diva girl!   She is very sound at all angles and has beautiful side gait with an attitude to go with it all.   With her awesome pedigree of Aussie legends, her classic beauty and high intelligence, this girl will be very valuable to my Aussie breeding program.  I love her because she does not have that over-friendly "Labrador" temperament that a lot of the show dogs are getting!   Nick named Gagaloo, she is my constant companion  and enjoys luxuries that most dogs don't!  She gets to go inside the local grocery store and shop with me.  The owners of the store love her and always have special treats waiting for her.   She is my little 'dressage dog' and 2 legs towards her Novice Rally O title, including a 4th place and a 1st place win.   BIg Thanks to Kathy Munson of Destiny Aussies for letting this awesome girl come to live with me, and to Stacy Adams  for breeding her!    Thank you to Kathy Port  of True Colors, her daughter Dawn Port , and Ken Briggs  for the fantastic photos of her!
UKC/ASCA Ch. Canyon Oaks Sierra Sunshine

Selenia is my new start in my Aussie breeding program.  She is OFA Good and her eyes are currently CERF'ed clear.  Her only fault is that she never read the part in the breed standard where it says 'aloof with strangers'-she is anything but aloof.  She is a Labrador in Aussie clothes!   Known to many as Celine, she recently earned her ASCA championship with ease.  Selenia is now working towards her Therapy Dog and Championship titles in AKC.  She is now also dabbling in Agility.

Salem's One Stop Candy Shop

Candy is our little red tri girl out of Sage and Marlena.  She is super sound in structure and has pretty side gait. Candy has a great show attitude that never quits, and she loves to work for you.  She now resides with the Baja Winds Aussie gang.  She will be leased by True Blue and Destiny Aussies in 2012 for a spectacular mini litter.
